TH Group breaks ground on Phu Yen dairy cow farm

This morning has seen locally-owned TH Group begin construction of its hi-tech dairy farm in the central province of Phu Yen.

The project will be much more than a simple dairy cow farm: it will include

an ecological resort and a craft village for tourism as well

The project’s first stage, worth VND1.151 trillion ($52.32 million), is implemented on an 82-hectare land area in Son Hoa district.

In the first stage, the farm will house 5,000 dairy cows, 2,400 of which will provide a total milk volume of 72 tonnes per day. In the second stage, the number of cows will increase to 20,000, with total investment capital of VND4.57 trillion ($207.73 million).

The project will employ hundreds of locals.

“We will also implement many other foodstuff projects,” said Thai Huong, chairwoman of TH Group, which owns the famous TH true MILK brand.

The projects will include a sea-based ecological resort and craft village tourism project in Tuy An District’s An Hoa commune, and a project cluster producing foodstuffs in Song Cau town. The total investment capital of these projects is expected to mount to dozens of millions of US dollars.

TH Group has also received an official announcement from the provincial government, allowing it to conduct a survey of the sea-based ecological resort and craft village tourism project.

Since 2008, TH Group has also been operating a $1.2-billion high-tech concentrated dairy and fresh milk production project in the central province of Nghe An’s Nghia Dan District. This project has made the first breakthrough in the domestic milk industry by using state-of-the-art technology for its grass cultivation and dairy cows breeding activities.

TH Group’s second breakthrough is driving the Vietnamese milk sector to an organic path, towards producing fresh, safe, and organic foodstuff products with a mindset of “creating a safe and organic foodstuff ecosystem” and “becoming a good housewife for the community.”

Currently, TH Group is also constructing two other dairy farm and fresh milk processing facilities in the northernmost province of Ha Giang (VND2.5 trillion or $113.64 million) and in the north-central province of Thanh Hoa (VND3.8 trillion or $172.73 million).

At present, while constructing a $2.7-billion hi-tech concentrated dairy and fresh milk production project in Russia, TH Group is constructing a similar major project in the Republic of Bashkortostan, a federal subject of Russia.

Huong said that TH Group will continue its organic agricultural production with more projects in Vietnam and abroad as well.

“We will make more contributions to the government’s organic agricultural development for the sake and health of the people,” she said.

All these milk projects receive financial consultancy from BAC A BANK.
